A Video Camera You’ll Flip For
On every parents must-have list is a video camera. How else are you going to embarrass your child when they grow up? Oh yeah, and capture all those precious moments…yeah that’s important too. They’ve been getting smaller and smaller in the past few years, not to mention easier to use. My favorite trend is the hard drive camera – no tapes or mini DVDs to mess with. Just hook it up to your computer (or TV) and go! We opted for the JVC Everio GZ-MG330 30GB Hard Disk Drive Camcorder, a great little full featured camera that stores hours of video on its hard drive, making it perfect for taking on vacation. While I love that camera, it’s not quite small enough to throw in my purse and always have handy, so I’m also thinking of adding The Flip to our stable. It’s a tiny little thing, about 2 x 4 inches roughly, and it shoots up to 60 minutes of video on its hard drive. Fellow YouTubers will know this is an eternity in the world of video clips. Priced at just $149.99 for the 2GB Ultra version, it is significantly less expensive than our camera. And how about those cute colors?

**Update – Just learned that Buy.com has refurbished Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorders for $79.99 with free shipping. You’ll have to settle for the white one, but seems like a pretty sweet deal to me!
