An Improvement on the Aspirator (and who thought there could be one?)
A nasal aspirator seems like a pretty simple device, and you know how important one is if you’ve ever had a young child with a cold. A few weeks ago, we were out at a dinner event while my poor in-laws were home with our stuffy-nosed little one. The couple we were seated next to also had an infant, so the conversation naturally gravitated toward all things kid related. I was lamenting over these stuffy nose spells, and the other mother suggested I try a battery powered aspirator. Pfffth, I thought. How could adding batteries help a simple aspirator? She acknowledged that she too thought it was as useless as a wipes warmer when she received it at her baby shower – until she actually tried it.
So I tried it too, and was pleasantly surprised. My son isn’t nearly as bothered because it does the job much more quickly than the manual one. What used to take several swipes in each nostril, is now accomplished with one quick pass. Which gets you and your child back to sleep faster – worth its weight in gold!

I bought another battery operated nasal aspirator: CLEANOZ at http://www.cleanoz.com. This device invented by a physician is a life saver as it uses Disposables: no clean-up necessary afterwards! One disposable per day per baby, that’s not a big deal; when using it 5 times a day on twin, it makes a huge difference and it’s more hygienic!
