Kid-Friendly TV at the Ready
Yes, we have DVDs of all our favorite programming available – but what’s even easier than that? What allows you to call up the latest episode of Handy Manny or Super Why! at the push of a button? Tivo! My son is a little too young to fully appreciate this yet, but I can already see how this will save my life in the coming years.
Being a new mom, I wasn’t even up on which kids programs are hot these days (are the Smurfs still on TV?), so I turned to my trusty Tivo to guide me. It has these wonderful things called Guru Guides built right in, for nearly every type of programming you can imagine. I selected KidsZone for 3-6 years, and then chose from a selection of guides including Discovery Kids and Parents Television Council, just to name a few. In no time flat, my Tivo was set to record selected age-appropriate programming. Just that simple!
