Reasons I Love My Blackberry, #711: Amazon Shopping App

Amazon has recently come out with a new app for the Blackberry similar to the ShopSavvy app for the iPhone that I posted about a few weeks ago.  Yes, it’s handy because you can access your Amazon account, shop from your phone, etc. but the coolest feature is “Amazon Remembers.”  This nifty little thing allows you to use your phone’s camera to take a photo of an item and it will search Amazon for similar items so you can comparison shop right from your phone.

In my experience with it, it’s not quite fast enough to use in-store (you don’t get immediate results, the search takes some time) but it has been very accurate.  A photo of my TV remote turned up a list of universal remotes.  If you have some time to browse, it could be helpful in saving you some money while out shopping.
