Harness the power of your own kinetic energy to power your gadgets!  The nPower PEG (Personal Energy Generator) from Tremont Electric uses the energy as you walk, transferring it into electricity to the portable electronic device plugged into it.  Using this method, the PEG can charge the average portable device up to 80 percent in about an hour.  And you don’t even have to wear it!  Just carrying in your backpack or purse will garner enough movement to create energy.  The small device measures 9 by 1.5 inches and weighs only 9 ounces so you probably won’t even notice you’re carrying it.  Keep in mind it doesn’t store energy like a battery, rather it’s a real-time transfer only.

Right now, the PEG is only available for preorder. The device comes with two free adapters for devices of the user’s choosing when ordering.  The compatibility list includes BlackBerry, iPhone, iPod, LG Chocolate, Magellan GPS, Nintendo DS Lite, Palm Treo, and most cell phones from Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Sanyo, and Sony.
