Technology Brings People Together
Does anyone remember how we connected with people before the internet? How we did anything before the internet? Some say it’s making people less connected, but I disagree – whatever your passion, there’s a group/website/fan forum/Facebook page for you to find and friend other like-minded folks. If you’re into it, chances are there is someone else who is into it too, be they in your same city or half way across the world.
Here’s the quick story about me – I’m a 30-something wife to a hard workin’ guy, mom of a wild and wonderful two year old boy and confessed gadgetaholic. I recently made the big leap from my career as a nonprofit marketing director to be a stay at home mom and couldn’t be happier! No lie, it’s been a big time adjustment, but we’re figuring our way as we go and loving every minute of it.
So what am I into, you ask? This blog of course! I’m excited to be able to connect with other stay at home moms and mom bloggers at 5 Minutes for Mom’s Ultimate Blog Party 2010 this week. I just found out about it, so if you’re a fellow mom blogger there’s still time to join in. The big Twitter party is tonight so watch my tweets for the hashtag #UBP10.
